Sweeten Your Strut: Tips for Walking in High Heels

You love them on the shelf.  You hate them after a long night.  High heels are a beautiful style instrument that elongates your legs, adds femininity to your style and transforms any look, but despite these positive notes, they can be quite tricky to wear.  And wear them right so you don't end up with sores!  Here are a few tips to make your strut even sweeter:


Making sure you get the right shoe size sounds like a no-brainer, but to ensure your high heels are the right size is the first step to sweetening your strut. Your shoe size should always accommodate the entire length of the foot, from heel to the tip of your longest toe.  The ball of the foot should comfortably rest on the widest part of the shoe.


There is no need to rush.  Savor each step by taking smaller steps so you can maintain your balance and also give you that catwalk confidence.  Make each step count and your feet will thank you.


You've walked by them at your local grocery store, but have you ever tried placing them into your high heels?  Maybe.  Inserts are designed to provide extra soft and cushion where you need it most.  There are even some inserts specifically made for high heels to provide stability in the ball of the foot and to equalize the weight.
